On August 26, astronomy minor Karsen Kitchen who is senior majoring in communication studies made history by being the youngest woman to cross the Kármán line (an altitude of 100 km above mean sea level) which marks the boundary of where space begins. She was one of the six member of Blue Origin’s NS-26 spaceflight mission.
