Come check out Astronomy on Tap Triangle, our North Carolina chapter of short and engaging talks about astronomy over beer. Have you ever wanted to travel back in time? If so, you’re in luck! Astronomers have the answer. Dr. Joel Green from the Space Telescope Science Institute (STSci) will be telling us all about the Hubble space telescope and JWST. How do these amazing machines help us learn more about the universe? Come join us to find out! Afterwards, Dr. Amy Sayle (Morehead Planetarium) will explain how we can use telescopes like Hubble and JWST as time machines! When you look at a distant object, you’re actually viewing it as it was in the past. How can that be? And what does this mean for astronomy? Let’s find out together.

Be sure to get there on time for a quick round of astronomy trivia and special prizes! We’ll also have some (earth-based) telescopes out front for you to check out if the weather cooperates.
