It is as easy as smashing star-sized atomic nuclei together in space! Come hear Dr. Carl Rodriguez (UNC-CH) talk about the detection of gravitational waves and light from merging neutron stars, and how these kind of events produce most of the gold and other heavily elements we find on Earth.Don’t forget to get there on time for a quick round of astronomy trivia and special prizes!
