“The Complex Life Of Quarks”
I will describe how the strong interaction that binds atomic nuclei together arises from a theory of quarks and gluons and discuss how this simple theory gives rise to the complex world of nuclear physics. I will also provide an overview of recent efforts to use supercomputers to understand this interaction from first principles and learn about exotic nuclei, neutron stars and searches for dark matter.
