Grayson Rich receives the 2018 DNP Division of Nuclear Physics Dissertation Award. Grayson completed both his undergraduate and doctoral studies in physics while a graduate student in our department at UNC.  As a graduate student he worked at TUNL where Hugon Karwowski oversaw much of his research and was the chair of his doctoral committee. Grayson’s Ph.D. thesis work was accomplished while a key player in the COHERENT collaboration at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He receives this national APS/DNP thesis award for his work in that collaboration under the direction of Duke/TUNL faculty member Phil Barbeau.
