Visiting our department

Location

Our department is located close to the heart of Chapel Hill, at 120 E. Cameron Avenue, Chapel Hill, NC 27599. E. Cameron Avenue runs parallel to Franklin St., just a block south. The best way to get around Chapel Hill is either on foot or taking one of the many free bus lines that go all over town. If you are driving and need a place to park, read on.

Parking

There are several metered parking spots around town, including garages and parking lots. Most of them use the ParkMobile app. Besides curbside parking on Franklin St., there are a few convenient parking lots and garages on E. Rosemary St., such as the Rosemary/Columbia lot and the Wallace parking deck, both just a short walk from our Department.

Park and Ride

The most cost-effective way to park is to leave your car at one of the park-and-ride lots outside town, such as the Jones Ferry, Eubanks, or Friday Center lots. Use the ParkMobile app to leave your car there for the whole day for a small fee (currently $2).
