November 15^th 2023, 2 – 4 p.m.: American Physical Society (APS) Chapters Career Counseling and Networking Fair with physicists from industry and national labs (virtual).  Registration (which requires APS membership, the first year is free for students and there are discounts thereafter) is open until the event. Participating employers include IBM, the National Nuclear Security Administration (Dept. of Energy), Naval Research Laboratory and TAE (a fusion energy company). There will also be many career counselors from a wide range of companies (including Intel, General Atomics, Zap Energy, ISciences, Beckman Coulter, Porifera, Ellipse Optical) as well as academic institutions. Career counselors will meet with you one-on-one to go over your resume or CV and offer advice about industry, national lab, or academic careers. Slots are limited, so register today!
