For the uninitiated, Physics from the Ground Up is a monthly public talk series based out of Lanza’s Cafe in Carrboro where you have the opportunity to share your work to a general audience. This is a great opportunity to engage the local community and practice paring down your research in a short, digestible format.
If you would be interested in one of these dates, please let us know! We are looking for faculty and graduate student speakers. Talks can be on your research or something else physics/astronomy related. In the past we have had talks on Medieval Physicists and Important Women in Physics on top of the usual research talks.
