Research conducted by the Laboratory for Experimental Nuclear Astrophysics (LENA) has been given a spotlight at the US Department of Energy website. UNC Physics and Astronomy Professors Christian Iliadis and Art Champagne are collaborators in experiments which measure thermonuclear fusion of hydrogen with a rare oxygen isotope. Read more about the research and the science behind it in the full article.
